Extra Table adds 5 new food pantry partners in Mississippi

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Extra Table, which is a state-wide nonprofit food bank in Mississippi, added five new food pantry partners.

Abbeville Food Pantry, First Baptist Church of Raymond, Helping Hands (Columbus), Samaritans Closet (Waynesboro) and Amory Food Pantry join the existing food pantries and soup kitchens throughout the state. They will receive monthly food deliveries at no cost through Extra Table.

“Bringing on new partners shows our commitment and our vision to lessen the hunger gap and feed our Mississippi neighbors. Our slow and steady approach allows us to be nimble while increasing the amount of food that ends up on Mississippi families’ tables – our ultimate goal. We always wish we could do more, of course, but this annual renewal of partners and the additions of new ones keeps us motivated to continue this work,” said Martha Allen, the executive director of Extra Table.
