Why should I go?

The year’s most refreshing day is just a sip away. Every year on July 11, 7-Eleven, the world’s largest convenience store, celebrates its birthday by giving away free small Slurpees to customers. 7-Eleven says the tradition is a way to show appreciation for customers’ patronage and continued support.

For its 97th birthday, 7-Eleven has partnered with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals to make the celebration even more special. This year, the free Slurpees come in special cups designed by seven-year-old Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals patient Nolan, who was diagnosed with retinoblastoma at age 3. He underwent surgery and chemotherapy, and now wears a prosthetic eye he calls his “superhero eye.” Named the hospitals’ “National Champion,” Nolan hopes the Slurpee cup will bring hope to other pediatric cancer patients.

You can enjoy a variety of flavors, like the limited edition MTN DEW Freedom Fusion, along with summer flavors like Pina Colada and Blueberry Lemonade Bliss or classics like Cherry and Coca Cola. At checkout, 7-Eleven encourages customers to round up their purchases and make a donation to support Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
