Season 18 of Barnwood Builders debuts tonight – Real WV

By Stephen Baldwin, RealWV

It’s hard to tell who is more excited about the new season of “Barnwood Builders”–Mark Bowe or his fans.

“I am so excited about this season that I have been sitting on my hands all day just to keep from clapping,” Bowe said on Wednesday.

But Mark never sits on his hands. He’s always busy, and this week is no exception. Because even as a new season is set to debut, he was stacking logs all day on a new project.

Fans will remember that Mark tore his rotator cuff and bicep in 2023 and had surgery in early 2024. He’s back on the job, full steam ahead with projects right here in West Virginia and across the country.

Host Mark Bowe surveys tear down of Virginia cabin, as seen on Barnwood Builders, Season 13.

Debuting tonight on the Magnolia Network (available via cable and the MAX app) at 8pm EST, “Barnwood Builders” kicks off season 18. New episodes will air in that same time slot this summer.

The show features Bowe, a native West Virginia, and his crew of talented craftsmen, as they rescue antique log cabins and barns and breathe new life into the structures. Bowe has been the host for 18 seasons and the show has been an international success airing around the world in millions of homes. He also owns a storefront in White Sulphur Springs and is building tiny cabins behind the store which folks will be able to rent out in the future.

The newest season kicks off with a double episode premiere Thursday at 8pm with a second brand new episode airing at 9pm on the Magnolia Network! Here is a quick preview of the two new episodes:

  • Perfectly Imperfect – The guys head to Lower Salem, Ohio to save a classic example of a pioneer log home. Over in Marietta, they ride up the Ohio River on an old Sternwheeler boat, and Sherman and Ryan tour a small factory that makes historical markers.
  • Community Building – The guys head to Canaan Valley, West Virginia for the largest commercial project they’ve ever built. Working with massive timbers, they make an intricate post and beam structure. And Mark meets the team who will make this place a wellness center and spa.
