New Boston’s Pizza Restaurant close to opening at Casper’s Best Western Downtown

CASPER, Wyo. – Crews are putting the finishing touches on a new red facade among other things at the new Boston’s Pizza Restaurant & Sports Bar at the Best Western Downtown in Casper this week.

Multiple calls to the number listed on the Casper Boston’s website went unanswered on Wednesday, but hotel staff said they were told the opening date is scheduled to be Friday, July 12. Signs advertising job openings were also prominently placed outside the restaurant.

The new restaurant will be the first Wyoming location for the Canadian-based chain, which got its start in 1964, and now has more than 400 stores in North America, according to their website.

The new Casper location was announced last September, with an opening date goal set for early 2024.

The new location required a complete gut rehab of the northeastern corner of the Best Western Downtown, which was previously known as the Parkway Plaza for years. The new space includes a large outdoor covered patio and fire pits, with the inside featuring modern fixtures, seating and a large bar. Sporting events will be shown on big screen TVs with high quality audio, they said in a release.

The new addition will be the first major renovation of the restaurant portion of the building since it was constructed in the early 1960s as a Ramada Inn. It has been home to numerous restaurant and bar concepts over the decades.

The rebrand and construction is a change in fortune for the aging building, which for years was known as the Parkway Plaza before falling into disrepair and closing for a period under different owners. It reopened in August 2022 after West Center Hospitality Ops LLC took over ownership. Galaxy Management operates the hotel business on the property.
